to my beloved Labrador Larry
i hope to love
like my dog Larry
he just wants to
be with me
rest his head on my leg
walk in the park
play in the leaves
and of course
meet other dogs
poke his nose at them
until they chase him
so much love
so much life
so much playfulness
Larry
that is his name
but his other name could be
“Life”
that is what he gives me
it is all the small moments
the big hugs
the excitement over a new toy
the euphoria of sprinting into the ocean
i mean is there anything better
than that??!!
so thanks

thanks for always
just being an amazing dog
and for making
my life
enriched with the joys
of simplicity, love and laughter
and a little time on the couch
