today i re-connected with the magic of poetry so wanted to encourage you to keep writing! this is the first poem in my book…
i thought
i ruminated
i overdid it
i grew tired
and frustrated
so then i started
to write
hard at first
but every morning
i started anew
and realized to be
a writer
all you have to do
is re-write
the narrative
in your head
that tries to
suffocate the soul
and starve the spirit
of your God-given
talents of
expression
so no more
suppression
just you
the pen
the paper
and your words
please write
the future of
the world
might just depend
on what you
have to say
