Showing up for yourself and on the page

Just begin before you are ready. Start creating and building. The learnings will happen as you let what is in you out on paper, canvas or any other medium.

We all have an art form that is inside us. The process of releasing it everyday is something I am personally working after being inspired by several writers. I love Seth Godin’s book The Practice. I also love The Artist Way from Julia Cameron and another one from her called The Right to Write.

Both writers talk about the practice releasing and freeing your voice through just putting your thoughts or writing out there.

From The Right to Write:

“I believe that what we want to write wants to be writtern. I believe that as I have an impulse to create, the something I want to create has an impulse to want to be born. My job, then, is to show up on the page and let that something move through me. In a sense, what wants to be written is none of my business.”

Gosh that quote is so so powerful for me. It takes such great courage to let what is inside you out into the world.

So as you read this today know that there is someone else out there who BELIEVES in you. That is me.

Because I am you and you are me. So feel free to let it rip and have fun!
